# Billing

> Understand counted people, the free allowance, spending caps, cards, and invoices for each app.

Billing shows usage and projected cost for the selected app.

## Pricing

> Your first 50 people are free. From person 51, \$100 a month covers 100 people, then \$1 per person. Billed in advance for the minimum, at month end for the rest.

The free allowance applies once to each app. It does not reset each month.

A counted person receives a delivered outreach text. This means a scheduled Flow text or a text that Hazel selects in Auto mode.

Auto mode lets Hazel choose each outreach step. Hazel's conversation replies and test people do not count.

Hyzl counts the same person once in each 30-day billing period. More counted texts during that period do not add another person.

The first 100 counted people in a paid billing period fit within the \$100 minimum. Each additional counted person costs \$1.

Hyzl does not take a commission from recovered revenue.

## Read the billing summary

**Projected this month** includes the plan minimum and counted usage so far. **People counted this month** shows the people on the current bill.

**Free allowance** shows how many of the app's first 50 people remain. **Counted over all time** includes every counted person for that app.

## Set a spending cap

A spending cap is the most that one app can add to a bill during a billing period. Enter the cap under **Spending cap in USD**.

Leave the field blank or enter `0` for no cap. Any other cap must be at least \$100 because that is the plan minimum.

Hyzl allows a text that lands exactly on the cap. It holds the next scheduled text and checks again every five minutes.

Raise or remove the cap to resume held texts. The recovery engine recalculates the cap and clears the pause when the new amount allows contact.

  The current dashboard notice says that a higher cap does not clear the pause.
  That notice is stale. The recovery engine uses the new cap as soon as you save
  it.

## Manage the card and invoices

Select **Add card** to save a card through Stripe. Hyzl does not receive or store the card details.

The saved card applies across every app for the merchant. Usage and spending caps remain separate for each app.

Select **Manage card and invoices** to open Stripe. Billing also shows the ten most recent invoices for the selected app.

Invoice dates use Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), a global time standard. Each row shows the invoice status, amount due, amount paid, and a Stripe link when available.

## Go live

You must save a card before an app can go Live. You must also complete the required setup steps.

The confirmation explains that real people will receive texts from Hazel. It also repeats the pricing and states that you can pause recovery.
